Nature

Thanwa is very friendly with humans. He has white hair growing on his ears and a white haired beard, which is rather unusual. He has brown spiky hair that stands up on his head and that makes him look a bit punk-like!

Special Story

Thanwa is regarded as the villagers’ elephant and they have dedicated him to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Thanwa has learned how to pull on the rope to raise a flag on a mast and now he is in charge of raising and lowering the Thai flag at the Center daily.
